Unhappy DH wins a medal from me

Yesterday he took me back to the Augusta ME Quilt show and bought me the Janome Horizon, not the new fancy and REALLY expensive one but the red one I've drooled over since it came out.

Today I'm trying to figure out all the bells and whistles hoping I could understand it on my own without having to travel to the quilt shop. Nope, I'm in a Fibro Fog mode and nothing is "sticking" in this teflon brain.

Anyone own this machine and how do you get to the decorative stitches you want. I can't seem to figure out the instructions or the video so that tells you something about my brain today. Simply threading the machine and using the automatic needle threader took me an hour

Don't you get any classes with your machine? This is the type of thing that your dealer goes over with you in class. Congrats, it looks like a great machine.

I sure hope you can get help or figure it all out. Just try to do one thing at a time, don't worry about anything else. Just try to figure out the threading and only think about that. Maybe trying to do one thing at a time will make it easier. I usually can figure things out if I have a picture and words. Lucky you to get it.

You get to the decorative stitches by turning the wheel on the right front of the machine. As you turn it the LCD picture will change with the number of the stitch and a picture of it.

I love my Horizon!

I have a Horizon as well and I love it! My husband bought it for me to Christmas last year all by himself!! I had a hard time at first figuring out all the bells and whistles. You can either use the wheel to turn to the stitch you want and then hit the center button to select - or use the stylus on the touch screen. It takes some time, but you'll get it. Have fun!!
