Today I got this wonderful book from a dear friend. It has such a nice story and each page is beautifully illustrated. The inside cover has a huge picture puzzle, with 250 quilt patterns hidden in it. My friend is an elementary school librarian and it's one of her favorite read-alouds to the children. I can't wait to share it with my grandchildren. Has anyone else read it?

I don't own it, but have read it to children in the school library as well. The illustrations are gorgeous and the story is sweet.

Read it - love it.
Rec'd that & Pattern book Quilts from the Quiltmaker'sGift
by Joanne Larsen Line & Nancy Loving Tubesing as a gift when it first came out. I think there is a second books of patterns out too.

It's sold at my LQS and the author made a visit last year, I think.

I have had that book for about 5 yrs and have read it twice. I also have lent it out to various Residents at the Nursing Home I work at. It is a lovely book with fantastic illustrations. It is too bad there aren't more books geared towards our passion like that one. Enjoy!

I also have this book, in fact someone gave me another for a gift. Then someone gave me the pattern book as well! This is a charming story and illustrations are wonderful!

When my kids were small, I read that story to them many times. I'm sure I still have it... somewhere...
