I've been thinking about the quilting I want to do on my sampler quilt. And I finally had an "ah ha" moment that just tickled my OCD pink.

The sashing which is black and which surrounds an owl that is nocturnal is going to be quilted with 40 of the 88 constellations.

I'm going to do them like "*" stars with the larger stars having longer tails. and I'm doing them in black thread. So unless someone has very good pattern recognition or has read this thread they will never know.

I love having little secrets in the patterns.

I'm so excited to have finally found a perfect fit for the sash quilting.

wow, you must be an over achiever. tee hee I can't even name the constellations, let alone quilt them. tee hee I'd love to see it when its finished!

However, you won't be "seeing" it, the quilting, as it will be black on black, right? Would like to see the quilt when completed, though.
