Is anyone going or has anyone been?

Just wondering if it's worth the hour and a half drive. It looks pretty neat.

Here's a link to the website:

Celeste 09-19-2008 01:57 PM

That looks gorgeous! Like a little bit of heaven, don't you think? Autumn, quilts, looks like a pretty town (city...), all it needs are Dobermans and Rottermans to finish off the decorating!

collettakay 09-19-2008 03:05 PM

I'm about 2 hours away. It looks interesting but I have Homecoming that Saturday and I have to work in our church group booth.

mic-pa 09-20-2008 02:45 AM

Definitely GO!!! I have been there. And the quilt shop was listed in one of the quilt magazines (can't remember which one) as one of the top ten quilt shops in the United States. I live about 1 hr. away and there is a group of us going. It is fantastic. Janome Sewing Machines is sponsering the quilt show. I plan on checkng out the new machines. LOL Marge

I wish I was a lot closer, I love the idea of quilts hung all over town, and its nice to see all ranges of quilting ability displayed :D

Thank you for the info, very strange looking but yet beautiful. Just not used to seeing a hairless cat. Interesting about the allergies.

I live 1/2 hr. away. Went last year, loved it! This year I'm going to be helping with the Project Linus booth. The quilt shop is one of my favorites and I can't go through town without stopping. It's a gorgeous day and the fall air is warm and crisp and the foliage is awesome! Worth the drive!

I'll take pics. We also have a quilt we are doing a raffle for- a generous queen size bear paw. Let me know if anyone wants one- they're $5.00.

Barb

henryparrish76 09-25-2008 08:05 AM

I would go just so I could go to that quilt shop! It looks like a good place to shop, too bad they aren't selling their merchandise online. :(

Your grandmother's quilts are absolutely fabulous!!  :!:
Just seeing her quilts was worth the drive to Tunkhannock. My very favorite was the framed, appliqued bouquet of flowers. Do you have any of her quilts?

jkobeski 10-05-2008 11:39 AM

Aren't they wonderful!!

Yes, I have three of the quilts that were in the show - the Brights Quilt in the right back corner (black and BOLD BRIGHT colors), NY Baskets (twin quilt, left corner, pink), and the Wildflowers (second quilt in, dark green, aplique flowers).

Talk about one lucky grandkid :D
