One point on the ebay cheapie...you cannot use it on a computerized machine as the magnet is built into it.

That looks like a much better light than the one on Ebay..

I got mine from

You can get additional sticky bases so you can move the light from machine to machine if you happen to have more than 1 (sewing machine, serger etc.)

I have one of the bendable bright lights (plug in, not battery), and I really LOVE it. It is amazing the difference in lighting it provides over what the sewing machine's light is. It is worth every penny. I'm thinking of getting one for my portable machine as well.

A few months ago I got two of the clip on book lights for $18.00 on eBay. Now DH and I each have one attached to our sewing machines with stick on velcro circles. I use mine when I am doing machine applique for the extra light on the needle area. I find it is really plenty bright.

Even though I did not pay full price for it, I would not hesitate to do so.

I really like this product. It is bright and direct-able. This is one case of truth in advertising -- it does exactly what it says it does without fuss.

PS I have a couple of bendable LED book lights for other reasons and they are not the same.

How does this little light attach to the machine? If it sticks to the machine won't it leave a residue on my Featherweight when I move it to another machine? Please advise me  Thanks so much!

I have this same light and love it. In fact I would count it as one to the top few quilting aides I would not want to be without now.
