I am doing the easy variation of the shoofly quilt. My question is do I separate each block with sashing?

What dont you have a clue about?? :)

If you do not want to have your HST (half square triangle) points meeting and sometimes being a problem sewing, then add the sashing!
|
Ok that helps. Thank u! I am doing the one where every block is different.
|
lay out a few blocks side by side, then lay out a few with sashing strips between and see what you like best.
|
sashing also allows for being a little off without it being noticeable.

You can go to image google and search for shoofly quilt and you will see
different settings. Maybe this might help you with your decision. |
Thanks everyone!

I have made several ShooFly blocks and never used sashing between them...just love the efect of that block. It's your quilt and you can do anything you want and feel looks best for you.
EazyPeezy's idea is a great one to help you decide what you prefer. |
