Did anyone ever get the "Samovar Quilt" pattern from Walmart? I got the fabrics by Joan Pace Baker for Oakhurst textiles, as a gift but don't have a clue of the pattern.
Any help would be appreciated. |
I googled it and found a post on a yahoo group that gave this address....its the company that made the fabrics maybe you could mail them and ask?

There is some Samovar Cheater cloth on ebay. Is that the picture of the pattern? Here is the link to it.http://cgi.ebay.com/SAMOVAR-CHEATER-...#ht_2781wt_939

Hi Gangles,
this a link for Walmart patterns (Ranger posted it in the Links section), but I didn't see the one you're looking for? Is it called something else? http://www.aenathan.com/index.php?tmpl=quiltofthemonth |
the fabric on Ebay is the correct fabric, that is the Cheater fabric and I have it plus several more that go with it. No luck yet on the pattern, thanks for the help!

I couldn't find a pattern either. Is there a specific pattern for this? I think you could use any table topper pattern that your fabric would look nice in.
A Samovar is an elaborate water boiler used for a continuous supply of hot water. A "Samovar quilt" is a small quilt placed under the Samovar, or perhaps on a wall behind it. They are also used on tables for a comfy, cozy feeling while enjoying a cup of tea. Hope this helped. Good luck with your search. Christine |
I appreciate the info about the Samovar. I just knew it as some kind of kettle.
Thank you. |
What month and year was this pattern available? I have Walmart patterns all the way back to 2003 and just looked in my notebook but no pattern by this name.
|
The fabric has been available for several months.
