I am very intrigued by these. Can anyone tell me how snugly the bag closes? Would, say, dog treats fall out of the bag when its closed and it was jostled around?

I have a "french hinge" dog treat bait bag that the opening is great but I hate the bag itself and wondered about making myself one. Will a snap bag close as tightly as a french hinge (I don't want the treats falling out of I bend over or jog with it on).

I friend made one of these for me, and I carry all of my quilting notions I need to class in it. This bag gets dropped and thrown around all the time and keeps thing tucked in really well.

I make them and keep all the little stuff in my purse in them. I'm sure even a coin would stay in!

They are so handy!

Tape measures come in different thicknesses and weights. A cheap tape measure will not be as "snug".

I made 2, had to put 3 pieces of tape measure on each side to get it to close tight. Also make sure you put duct tape on all the edges, they will cut through the fabric.

Tape measures do make a difference.I made some for 2 yr. olds and used cheaper stuff so they could open them easily.Use heavier tape if you don't want them to come open.

Use a weighty, heavy duty tape measure. Hopefully not DH's favorite.
