Well, my friend....while it may not be quite where you "want to" be...it is soooo far from MY ability as I sit here in amazement at what you are doing so far!! I took an FMQ class LAST summer and I'm still havn't done a thing with it b/c I'm so chicken!!! You inspire me...keep at it and you will get to where you "want to" be and inspire some more of us at the same time!!! Thank you for sharing your progress!!

You are your own worst critic! :) Looks great!

There's enough free motion test squares laying around this sewing studio to pad my cell for the day I crack from trying so hard. How does one get the two to compromise and work hand in hand? The way I see Ability is very stubborn and doesn't like my mind at all. So purchasing an expensive machine is the answer, it'll be here next week. Maybe that will show Ability that this is serious! A blue ribbon at the county fair is not the desired destination. Just a little satisfaction and gratification. Is that to much to ask of Ability? We work hard to search the QB for answers, we google, surf, donate, welcome new members, and most of all given substandard quilting projects to people we love because we know they wont tell us our Ability took the day off. So just once I wish that Want to and Ability would come together and not produce something that looks like this.

YEA WHATS WRONG WITH IT I THINK IT LOOKS REALLY GOOD.

We are always our own worst critic!! GReat job! I would fall over and froth at the mouth if I did that kind of beautiful work! Geez...I am still just trying to get even loops down pat without having jagged edges!

You are far ahead of me on that curve.

You did a very good job! Just keep practicing and you will get better and better!

I like it. I was looking for the one with the mistakes - are you going to post it?

We are our own worst critic-i'm guilty of that too. And we can't see what you see in the stitching, try not to be too hard on yourself. I think that it looks really good as I haven't even tried feathers yet and I've been quilting for a while. You'd croak if you'd seen some of the quilting on the quilts I gave away! Please try to cut yourself some slack and show us your new machine when you get it.
