Even with a 50% off coupon that is a lot. I can't find the note for the prices of 45 mm blades that I wrote down. Bad paper management.
For me it is time to find the best blade sharpener and start sharpening my own blades. I recently purchased a 45 mm Olfa cutter since I can get blades at Harbor Freight, when their supplier finally gets caught up with its production for the "quilters' demands" for them!!!!!! |
I just bought a True Cut rotary blade sharpenter from The Grace Company for $40. Sharpens 45mm and 60mm blades. Just sharpened my 60mm blade today--works for me!

I know. My more recent catalogs are showing me such price increases, that I'm definitely making my New Year's Resolution early - No purchasing. I'm working out of my stash, no additional rulers [cutting my own templates if needed], and using blades from Harbor Freight !!!!

My local fabric store (similar to Joanne's) recently sold their Olfa blades for $15 for a 5pk. I nearly died of shock...then bought 5 packs. LOL

That sounds like a much fairer price than most stores are charging. It is ridiculous what is being charged for blades.

I probably should have been recycling before anyway but now I am highly motivated to do so! |
