That is a LOT of 1-1/2 strips! Must have taken forever to sew together! It's beautiful, though--I don't think it's too bright at all. Scrappy quilts are never too bright! I'll bet once you get your borders on it, you'll love it!

Great scrappy quilt! I love it! I'd do either a dark solid border, or a scrappy hst border, pinwheels perhaps?
Kind Regards,
MaryAnna

I just started saving strips this year. Is it difficult to keep the columns straight and not have them bend and wave???
Yours is inspiring, for sure!

If you go back to the very first post in this thread, the quilter posted where she got her pattern, in a link. It is a pattern from this site donated by another quilter and is here for your enjoyment <wave>

It really didn't take that long to sew the top together.
On the first day, I had sewn all my strips from end to end. It made a VERY long strip! The next day,
I had my sister come over for the day & help me.
She would pin ahead of me to keep the strips from twisting as I would sew the rows together.
It only took about 2 days for the whole top.
Once it was done, I used ALOT of starch on it before adding the borders.
Didn't really have a problem with wavy strips.
I guess because some of the strips were kinda short before making the long piece.
