Joann's just put out a flier that states that if you have --- "Proof of membership of a Sewing/Crafting organization and a state-issued ID" you can sign up & get a VIP card for 10% discount on your total purchase.

I have my quilters club card and use it every time I go to Joanns. 10% adds up over a period of time, but you do have to sign up for this on the web sight.

Also, if you are a business and sign up you can get a discount. You have to prove you have a business license (a copy of your state issued license is fine) and go through the paperwork, but in the long run it is worth it. I did mine at the store, just go to customer service.

I have been on this list for a little over a year. Joann's just sent me my new card. I now get 20% off of total purchase. I save a lot when I have coupons. It does add up.

Also, if you are a school teacher, show your ID and you can get a 15% discount card! I take my DH with me every time!

Did you get the 20% instead of 10% because it was your second year. Wouldn't be super if they continue to up the % until it was 50%!!!

not just for teachers, my mom is the school nurse and she gets the discount too.
