I've just come across the 100 Cranes Peace Quilt. I am so excited by it!
I live in Canada and am looking for the pattern. Can anybody help me out? |
I ran across this, which is beautiful. I noticed a "free pattnerns" button on the left side of the page. Not sure if this is what you are looking for.

The link you gave me directs you to their website, which I've already searched through. The website says to go to Logans Patchwork, but it doesn't have the pattern on their site. I'm waiting to hear back to see if they can send it to me here.
I picked up some wonderful asian prints at a fat quarter sale in August and I'm eager to start! |
Hello, and welcome from Missouri! Let us know what you find and we love pictures!
|
if you find it please let me know i've wanted this pattern for a very long time.

If this is the same quilt, it looks like you can purchase it directly from Margaret Rolfe who designed the one on the Cranes Peace PROJECT page.

Can't you find the pattern in a regular Origami book and translate the graphic into a papaer-pieced fabric crane? Sounds easy enough.

I just registered on the site and dowloaded the origami crane, sitting crane and standing crane applique patterns for free.
The registration is free. |
Wow - I can't believe how many answers I've received!!
First to thimblebug6000 - I was hoping to order it online as Margaret says she can't accept credit cards. I've emailed Logan's Patchwork (through their website) since the link you emailed me says you can get it through them. To Up North - the pattern at kittens-mitten.com isn't the same. To lfw045 - maybe it's a Mac / PC thing - I tried to download through the buttons and get jibberish. Did you get PDFs? Maybe you could email them to me? To MadQuilter - I've already copied the picture from the 1000 Cranes website and figure that I can duplicate it that way, if I can't get the pattern. There is a picture that is quite close up of the block and you can almost make out the seaming to figure out exactly how it was done. I've never done foundation piecing and this quilt gave me the inspiration to give it a shot. Thanks everybody for your help!! |
