If you mean the 28mm - I've got one and I've probably only used it about 1/2 dozen times. I used to use my 60mm all the time but now use the 445mm the most. I think a lot depends on what size of cuts your making - are you cutting medium/large blocks or small/extra small ones.

I had the 28mm one and used it mostly for ripping and then it just fell apart. I wouldn't buy another.

if you do alot of (mini) work---need to cut around small-tight templates the 18 comes in handy- it is also good for circle cutters-
if that is not the type of cutting you do-it will probably live in a drawer. |

I have the 18mm and use it for reverse sewing (ripping) my seams. It is easier to hold than the bigger blades and is faster than the seam ripper. I also have the 28mm, 45mm and 60mm. I use the last tow the most, but have used the 28mm for cutting circles.

I have 2 of each olfa size 28,45 & 60mm, and only 1 of the 18mm.
The 18mm is my LEAST used although when I am working on small projects I will use it on a small 4x6 cutting mat near the machine and it works perfectly for me, but most often I just either the 45 or 60mm. Several years ago I got lucky and won a bid on ebay that consisted of 1 of each size cutter, plus a chenille cutter, replacements blades in the sizes 18mm=20, 28=10, 45=10, 60=5 & chenille blade=1. ALL of this for the winning bid of $52.50 plus $5.75 for shipping. Never have seen another whopper of a deal like that since. |
