18mm rotary cutters

I'm trying to figure out if there are different 18mm rotary cutters. I have the Olfa but it doesn't work with my circle cut template. Here's what's happening: The template's thickness seems to be thicker than the blade comes down when extended so it can't reach the fabric. My 28mm works fine since it extends down further than the thickness of the template (hope this makes sense).

Here is a picture of the one I have (hope it shows up)

So I guess my question is, is there different kinds of 18mm rotary cutters that would work with the template?

Thanks for any help!

Ruth

I think the template is meant for the 28mm

If you have the 'Easy Circle Cut ruler' you will need the 'Easy Circle Cut Rotary', esp. if you want the smaller circles. 45mm works on the largest, I also tried to use 18mm, with no luck.

The reason I know this is because I had purchased the ruler ... GRRR ... Returned the ruler. Then on another shopping expedition, I see the Easy Circle Cut Ruler and right next to it was the Easy Circle Cut Rotary. The other shop did not inform me that you needed both. Why they are not sold together???

Thank you! I knew there was something going on!! I agree, they should let you know you need their rotary cutter to work with Easy Circle Cut Rotary. I guess I'm off to find the one that actually goes with it :-)
