I have a polyester quilt my Grannie made I"m guessing in the 60's-70's....the material is fine. But the thread is coming apart. I still use it on my bed every winter. When I take it off this year though I'm going to have to redo it.

I wouldn't worry about the fabric. Polyester is forever....

I would frame them all in the same frame with about 1/2 inch between, maybe 3/4. I would put them between two pieces of glass and have it hung so it can be seen from the back if you want.

I would so want to save the papers... tough call on your part since both the front and the papers are so interesting.

I love the idea of printing the ads onto fabric to use with the other blocks. I've done several quilts incorporating photos & found that Printed Treasures works best & holds up well in washing & drying. Please post pictures when you finish the quilt. |
