2 1/2 " square patterns

Do any of you know of patterns designed just for the mini squares? I'm no good at scaleing down patterns and need a simple block besides the 4 patch. Help please!

I made this quilt, Film At Five, with 1930's reproductions in 2.5 inch squares. It turned out really nice. http://weddingdressblue.wordpress.co...at-five-quilt/

Here's a neat one that is on my bucket list. http://www.patchworksquare.com/mf/th...uilt-block.pdf

I love the lay outs for the thrifty block, thanks for posting cmrenno

I used 2-1/2" squares for my Around the World top that is queen sized. 10 different fabrics from dark to light and back again, created sort of a Bargello look.

This is a simple pattern. I used 4.5" squares but it could easily be scaled down.

I designed a pattern called Two Hearts in Love that uses primarily 2.5-inch squares. It's available for free here: http://foolsgoldca.susanmallery.com/funstuff.html

Thanks! I was just cleaning things out the other day and found my ....ummm...Y2K swap fabric squares.... :o I had given a lot of them to a friend, but there are a lot more that are just not going to be made into a Y2K quilt now that it's nearly 2014! LOL

I did a whole bunch from my bag of 2.5" blah blocks. They weren't all I used in most of them, but primarily, including Jenel's hearts.

WOW , fantastic scrappies ! I spent my insomnia hours last night sorting mine for the swap :)
I posted pics in Rhondas scrap club thread .

Sheri R's reply looked like the "Scrappy Train Mystery" that Paintmejudy did on this Board. If you do a search, you can see all the ones that were finished. Quite lovely.

I am doing the Chiclets pattern mentioned in another posting and it is quick and looks wonderful whether it is planned or scrappy. I can do a finished block in about 40 minutes. I am looking as some of the other links also. Glad you asked the question.

Good question with great answers. Lots of ideas here.

Here's the quilt I made from a collection of 2.5 inch squares I had in my stash.
