Well my youngest did his first block this morning. I tried to pick him an easy one but none are really easy when they are only 6 inch blocks. He did block #68-Postage Stamp. There are 36 inch and a half squares in there. He did all of it on his own excpt for the final two rows sewn to the blokc. His leg he had surgery on was bothering him so he asked me to finsh the last two stiches so he could go lay down.

Good job.

Wonderful, keep going.

Thanks. I'm glad he did that one. My long fingers aren't meant for little pieces. We have 5 blocks done now. Little behind were we wanted to be but I'm sure once we are done with school and our mini vacation, we will be able to get more done.

He did a great job matching the corners on those tiny blocks. Those little blocks scare me. Seems like there is more room to 'fudge' on large blocks.
You are so fortunate your boys are interested, especially at that age. I suspect that sewing/quilting isn't really 'cool.' |
Not cool!!! Gasp! I've gotta stop now. I can't be caught doing something not cool. It will clash with my mom pants!
