Ran out of room. By turning these blocks different ways when set together, you can get many different patterns and have no waste. You are using 3 logs per one 7 1/2" square and if you have 30 squares and 90 logs you will end up with 30 8 1/2" finished blocks. I drew it out on paper and it reminds me of Patience Corner but its a tad different. Maybe someone can make a block and post a pix, I can't do that. Sorry.

I think I would do the Warm Wishes pattern. You could just trim off the extra from the 7 1/2 and add the scraps to your scrap bins.

It looks to me like the first block was going to be something that would come out to 6 inches unfinished and then they were going to attach the 6X2 strips to the sides. The first thing that comes to mind is a quick technique I had seen that makes 2 checkerboard pattern 9-patch blocks at the same time.
