35th Anniversary Challenge

My Guild is doing a 35th Anniversary challenge wall hanging to celebrate our 35th. The wall hangings will also be hung at the guilds annual quilt show.

I am thinking of doing it in coral, jade and cream. (Jade and coral are the official "35th anniversary gifts").
The total of the perimeter can only be 70".

I'm kind of stuck as to what to do. I have a vague idea of doing a sewing machine in the centre and two spools of thread in opposite corners with the number "35" in the other corners.

Can anyone give me some inspiration as a starting point to work from?

i love your idea. it sounds perfect. don't mess with perfection. please show us your quilt when it's done. use an old fashioned type like a FW or an older black one for special effects.

Make a flower with 35 petals/yo-yos/or tiny EPP pieces in your colors, centered on a pale background of 35 blocks in a 5 x 6 setting using the reverse side (to make it even more pale) of fabrics in your colors. Or use different creams for the background in the same way.
