That's what I have so far. I'm planning a 1" yellow border to frame it and then maybe adding a red and blue but not sure how wide I should make them. Any suggestions would be appreciated. This one I'm going to use for the next silent auction for a benefit that the American Legion will be holding. Then on to Mom's. Those of you that sent me fabric, I hope you can recognize some of your pieces. Darn, meant to put this in the pictures section...

What about a diagonal stripe with several of the colors from the main part of the quilt as the binding?

I like the idea of just a yellow border about twice the width of your sashing strips, and then a simple blue binding. Red is such a powerful color and there is already a lot of it in there, so I don't think I would extend the red further out into the border and binding. Whatever you do, it looks beautiful!

39 by 50 is a great size for a crib quilt. An inch or few bigger wouldn't hurt. IMHO, you really can't get 'too big' for a crib quilt, as long as it's the general size. The bigger, the longer it'll last, as long as it still fits in the crib!

Seems about right for the size. I like the idea of the yellow border with a red or blue binding. I love that layout. Great for I Spy squares. Good job!

Love those colours.

Remember if you stay below about 40" wide, you can get your backing out of one width of fabric.

Cute quilt-and yes, I think it is a great size.

Perfect size with or without borders.
Great job! |
ooH ! So colorful! I love bright colors. You did a swell job!
I like the idea of a border twice the size of ur sashing. And that is a perfect crib size. |
