Someone on the other chat mentioned using toilet paper tube for storage.

You either hand stitch those together, or follow their good directions, with pictures, on how to do it by machine.
I've made one and really like it, but next one I make, I will probably do some quilting on the squares before putting them together.

I've started saving empty rolls of toilet paper, paper towels, wrapping paper, etc. to place in each section of the wreath to keep it from compressing. I got that suggestion from someone else who already made one of these.

I just bought the pattern at a quilt show and look forward to making it.

You could also use the cardboard inserts in toilet paper, paper towels, or gift wrap to stuff the wreath. Just cut them the correct length. At Christmas I'm sure we all have the cardboard left from empty gift wrap rolls.

I made the wreath. I read it a couple of times and found it confusing. So, I did one step at time and just that individual instruction/step. It took me about 6-8 hours to make it. It turned out beautiful. Wrapped it in tissue paper, and put it away. I will see what next year will bring and the shape it is in. I might have to spritz it a wee bit. Planning on making a Univ. Maybe someone that has already made one could do a tute on how to make it. I find the pattern confusing also.

I didn't purchase the patternI just eyeballed how to do it from seeing one. The pattern says to use peltex or soft and stable. I used soft and stable as that is what I have. I think it will be easier to store. I have heard the directions are hard to follow. Someone said they appliqué the border on. I found the soft and stable a little bit thick but it worked. A friend has told me to use headliner (sold at JoAnn and Hancocks) instead of soft and stable. I haven't used it but was told it is thinner and cheaper. Headliner is fabric sold to redo the ceiling in your car. Good luck. Someone posted a tutorial a while ago but it was removed as it violated copyright rules.
