help! should I cut my small scraps in to blocks or not?
I have a new accuquilt and it is calling me. can I make a scrappy dp nine patch with 4 1/2 inch blocks? I hate all the totes of scraps but can't bear to chunk them.

I've been thinking of doing the same thing, but that would entail alot of ironing. Soon, when I retire.

I keep my scraps as scraps until I know what I want to do with them. You never know when you need strips, rectangles, circles, triangles.

I have been cutting my scraps on the dies and storing them. Its nice to have them handy for quick projects.

My block comes out 13 1/2

You can make the D9P with any size squares, but you probably wouldn't want to go much smaller than the 4-1/2. Otherwise, the center squares will end up pretty small once you recut it.

If I had more time and space, I'd love to take a couple of days cut/organize my scraps. While I'm working, I just shove them in a drawer to deal with later.

This sounds like a great way to use up your scraps :D:D:D

Every once in a while, I go through scraps and either make strips (the widest possible) or make blocks (the largest possible)using 1/2" increments.
