Does anyone have a link to a 4 patch posey tutorial? I did search and tutorials and found one link but it is no longer active. I found lots of photos, but nothing that tells how to do it. I found lots of how to do the other stack and whacks but not the 4 patches.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks in advance. Smiles and hugggggs |
Im sorry I cant help :( The links I found were broken as well but Im sure SOMEONE knows of something hidden away somewhere. That is one of the best things about this board the abundance of info at your fingertips. Good luck!!

Here are a couple that I have found
http://www.bobrow.net/kimberly/Quilt...ss/index1.html http://good-times.webshots.com/album/562415304ZhzBSk Edit*** Oops these are not the right ones  they are for stack and whack. |
Choosing the fabric and how to cut and lay it out in repeats was covered in cutebuns class here on the board. She was teaching OBW's, but the technique is the same. You will be working with 4 repeats instead of 6 is the only difference.
Fabric choices http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-34937-1.htm Cutting the fabric repeats http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-35685-1.htm When you have your 4 repeats cut and stacked as shown in the second link, you would cut your blocks out of these strips, and then cut each of the blocks corner to corner. Pick up one stack of these cut pieces and arrange it into a posey block. Each block cut into 1/4's will make 4 posey blocks. |
The Stacked Posies pattern is easy to understand.
And it's on sale for $2.50 here: http://www.cottonpatchfabrics.com/cg...cking5=froogle |
That is a great price on the pattern!!! :D:D:D

Therefore the rates posted on your invoice may not be the exact amount. This isn't posted until further on in the ordering process. Or if you click on a button that is there that no one notices. Stupid on their end if you ask me. You'd think anyone doing online selling would have enough sense to know once a buyer see that amount for mailing an envelope, they stop right there. The total cost will be $5.50. That's what I was charged. Still more then the pattern but 1/2 what the pattern is selling for elsewhere. Once a pattern is discounted at one place it usually is at other stores too. |
and if someone really wants the pattern, I'm sure it's worth it.
|
Thanks all, Amma, I will give it a go using your explanations.
|
I hope you show us your experiments ;-)

I just filled out the order form, and I would also be charged $6.95 for shipping... Even though it says the shipping charges are an estimate, I will not give up my cash until I know what the full charges will be... estimates can go up or down..... and they don't give you the exact amount until you give them your cc information
|
I can't afford that kind of shipping charges. But I appreciate the effort put into finding the pattern for me!

Wildyard.....if you type in "4 patch posy" in the search option above, there are several discussions which might be helpful. Hope you have fun with this. It is on my "to do" list, but that list is soooo long! It sure is a nice pattern.

Is this one any help to you? The site of the tutorial seems to have been removed from the internet... it's not even in the cache. http://www.lazygirldesigns.com/blog/?p=341
Hope you find what you're looking for. |
