How much fabric is needed for this pattern?

You need a minimum of 4 repeats of the fabric.

according to pattern- to make twin size- need 4 repeats for patches and 2yds for 8" border. Twin size measures 65 x75. for twin size- 12"repeat x 4 repeat=1 3/8yds, 14" repeat x4= 1 3/4yds, 16"repeat x4=2 yds, 18"repeat x4= 2 1/8 yds. I would get 4-5 yds of focus fabric just to be on safe side. The border should be same fabric as blocks and can be width you want. I made mine larger and used 80 blocks so that I had to cut 1 extra set fabric to get 80 - 4 inch blocks. I made the double sashing =2". It sound more complicated then it it. Also search for 4 patch posie and you will see some other really lovely ones! l
