I found a used Husqvarna Viking 500 with a one year full guarantee. I was wondering if this was a good deal, they have one on ebay for 450.00 and going up with bids, so when I came across this one I thought I would ask you all to see what you thought. It doesn't say if it has any hoops with it ir not, the description says, convenient drop in bobbin, 80 built in stitches, quilting and pictogram stitches, alphabet for monogramming, utility stitches, digital display screen, removable accessory tray, free arm, large bed extension plate included.

You may want to check your local Viking dealer. I went last week (bought a new machine, Mega Quilter) but there are many people to trade up all the time. Our local dealer had a expensive machine with all the bells and hoops for $600, it was worth $2000 with the software and hoops.
It had 10 hours and was like 5 yrs old.
and your local dealer will give you some sort a warranty.
thats important to me as a quilter.
I have 4 machines.
Gammill~ wonderful service and warranty (purchase 2010)
Viking Mega~ 10 yr warranty (bought new last week)
Bernina~is 7 yr old and our of warranty, put in a new board already. Alex Anderson Quilter
Old double needle industrial... probably 30 plus yrs old. works great.
A couple other odds and ends.
I'm liking my new Viking, which is meant for a short arm.
I wanted it because, no computer, straight stitch only, feed dogs are covered by the foot, so a nice even feed. Cutter, knee lift.
Know what you want, a dealer may help you see all the machines out there.
