45 Degree Diamond Ruler

Do you have a 45 degree diamond ruler that you love?

I bought one from Amazon that looked awesome! Even had holes drilled in it for marking the 'points' to stop sewing for set-in seams. But alas...it arrived and it's in centimeters... I debated about whether I could make centimeters work...but with all the rest of my tools in inches I decided it just wasn't going to work...so back it went.... :(

i like having centimeter increments ..for some of my designs, it's easier than inches. a friend in europe sent me a large cm square ruler & i sent her a 10" square ruler. we also traded graph paper ..centimeter & inch. i also have so e clear drafting rulers that are inch on one edge & centimeter on other edge. having options is nice.

I recently took a workshop where we make a star quilt with 45 degree diamonds, we used the 45 degree mark on our regular quilting ruler. It worked well for the 3 inch ones needed for the quilt.

1) If you haven't done so already, I highly recommend submitting a review for the rule on Amazon that highlights that it in cm, not inches, so that some other folks may avoid the same hassle of getting what they don't really want.

2) I am curious - what is the seam allowance used on the ruler?

EZ Quilting 45 degree Diamond Template Tool is about $9 on Amazon.
