I use the 45m for nothing over four layers, but for two or more layers of batting I use a 60mm.

I use the 60 mm for cutting through several layers or upholstery fabrics that I use for bags. It really takes a bite!

I use both! Just depends on what I am cutting! With ultrasuede I have to use the 60 if I cut more than a single layer. With cotton/silk etc, I use the 45, unless I am cutting more than 4 layers!

60 for me too, less pressure to cut & cuts thru more layers like butter

I don't even own a 60 mm cutter; I use the 45 for most everytying.

I use both the 45 and 60, but I use the 45 the most - like the ergonomic handle the best. The 60 is fabulous for cutting through multiple layers, but I am more accurate with the 45. I like the 18 and 28 for cutting curves and little things.

I use both and mostly use my 60 when cutting several layers of flannel. It is so nice to go through so many layers so smoothly - at least if I have remembered to put in a new blade that is. I use my 45 for standard cutting or for template cutting of regular cotton.

I got an Olfa 45mm Ergonomic cutter at Michael's with a 50% off coupon. I love it. So much easier to control and use than the regular ones.

Broke out my 45mm one again today. Liked it for the little cuts I was making but the 60mm is great for bigger cuts and multiple layers of fabric. The Martelli is superb!!!
