Is 505 Basting Spray still "the best"?
I have been using Sullivan's...its ok, but I think it might gum up the needle some more than i'd like. At one point, 505 was considered the best but that was years ago now. Is there something newer that works as well? I do occasionally use elmer's washable glue but would like a handy spray-on product to use outdoors.

I still use 505. Interested in what others say.

505 is my go to.

505 here too ...

I use 505. In fact, I just spray basted a quilt with it last weekend. I'm quilting it now

I use both 505 and Dritz Adhesive Spray. I don't have any issues with either though Dritz dries faster, IMO.

I quit using Sullivan when it turned my white fabric yellow. I had sprayed it directly onto the fabric instead of the batting and it yellowed horribly and stayed sticky. It did not wash out and I contacted the Mfg with no response. Like Dritz and 505 when I can get it on sale or with a mega coupon.

In my opinion it's the best. I use it exclusively :-)

Thank you everyone!! So I will go with the 505 and maybe keep some dritz around also. No more Sullivan's.
