Bebe wasn't bad. I'm pretty sure most of us here would have done the same. Only I really don't know where or how to stuff it in somewhere.LOL I'm sure you'll find a place.

Elizabeth A. 11-07-2008 05:50 AM

That was a great deal, good for you, don't worry over $20, instead think of all the things you can make with that fabric. :)

minstrel 11-07-2008 07:05 AM

HOLY COW!! Don'tcha just love Craigslist? I can't hardly imagine where I'd put 65 yards, but what fun finding a spot (and admiring, and petting, etc., etc.)

Mplsgirl 11-07-2008 07:07 AM

Wow! Lucky you!!

pal 11-07-2008 09:54 AM

I've got a solution as to where to put the fabric! Nail 1x3 boards to the rafters in the basement or the garage - creating shelves. Whodathunk?

Pam Pollock 11-07-2008 10:11 AM

WOW!!! If you had paid regular prices on that 65 yards of material you could have paid up to 10.00 per yard in a quilt shop. If you think about it that way...at $6.00 per yard you would have paid $390.00.....at $8.00 per yard you would have paid $520.00. ......& at $10.00 per yard you would have paid $$650.00. You got a bargain & then some!!!! WAY TO GO!!!! YOU HAVE SAVED A BUNDLE!!! I want to go shopping with you!!! :D

quiltsRfun 11-07-2008 11:07 AM

Just think of the fun you'll having discovering exactly what you've got! What a treasure you've found.

Marcia 11-07-2008 11:23 AM

Cannot wait for you to post pics--this is so exciting!!!!!!

wraez 11-07-2008 12:26 PM

Did I read this right....you found the fabric only 2 miles from you on Craigslist?

Very very impressive, lots of green on my face today,

hugs sue

BeBe is going to run out of house. If I buy anymore stuff I don't know where I'll put it. Next trip to SA I have got to come to house and see it. Hey you could spend your money on worst stuff. I bought 10 yards of Texas A & M colored maroon plaid for something later That color is hard to find. Least it won't go on your hips like if you bought $20.00 of marked down Halloween chocolate. Good girl. Deb

Betty Ruth 11-07-2008 01:00 PM

Hello, Bebe. Do you still know where I live? If not, I'd be happy to meet you at the Forum. Betty

lgeorge 11-07-2008 02:58 PM

Wow, you must live in the US. Here in Canada it is impossible to find bargains in fabrics. Am looking forward to going to Florida and raid the shops...Imagine all the fabric for 20 bucks.

You'll find better bargains at the San Antonio garage sales. Today I got length of fabric measuring at least 5 yards for 50 cents and a half completed twin size quilt top with sufficient fabric to complete it with fabric left over for $3.00. You won't find bargains like that at a shop.

Crafty1 11-08-2008 06:44 PM

Great deal! Can't wait to see all the pretty fabrics... I too buy fabrics and stuff on Craigslist. So far, 1 not so good out of 9 purchases.

YOU DID FANTASTIC!!! OMG! What a haul!

I'd wear out my fingertips rubbing it all!

Law101 11-12-2008 07:25 AM

You scored BIG Time.

I have a huge stash of quilting fabric, just hope I live long enough to use it. I am trying to get my DIL interested in quilting but so far she only does flannel rag quilts.

Debra Mc 11-12-2008 09:52 AM

Hey I love that blue & sunset one with the cactus in the last picture. I have never seen that one. A friend told me she drove by a garage sale the other day and a lady had a box with lots of bolts of material for $20.00. Now she wishes she would have bought it.
