8900 Janomee
Just picked up my new machine, an 8900 Janomee, on Tuesday and have only been able to sew 2 short rows of stitches using 1/4" pressor foot. Ended up back in the hospital again by pulling my brand new hip replacement out of scoket again. This time it is cemented in place and if I pull it out will end up in w/c for life. Anyway this beautiful machine is waiting for me. Will be taking an application class in a couple of weeks but the class I am excited about is for FMQ class that I am signed up for. Until I feel like getting behind the sewing table I can at least study the book.

Oh Judy!! Do take care and go slow so that you can really enjoy your new machine!! Even though there are a lot of people getting hi replacements it doesn't mean that it is fun and a quick process to go through!! I hope the follow up physical therapy will help you get stronger with each day.
Let us know how you like your new machine when you get back to it - at least you will be familiar with the manual :) |
I'm wild about my 8900!! Everything that was wrong with the 7700 has been fixed leaving the true dream machine.
Get well soon!! |
Do everything that your therapist tells you to do and take your time. Do not dislocate that hip again!!!! Hope the glue holds.

Take it easy girl. You will enjoy your new machine more if you are feeling tip top. Congrats on the new machine.

So sorry to hear of your hip problem. I had one replaced almost 2 years ago and fortunately have had no problems. I feel for you - take care.
