Where do you ladies find the board or plastic used to wrap fabric? I need to get my fabric in some type of order and I don't know where to get the "cards" to wrap it on.

I have not bought any, but a board member sent me a PM about some that she had. Her name is M.I.Late you might want to contact her.

How about at a fabric shop? Maybe they would let you have the empties.
|
Thanks dear, we don't have any fabric shops here. Walmart won't save theirs. What's a girl to do?

My stash is made of small pieces of fabric like a yard or two. I only buy more for a planned quilt.
I wind it on cardboard that is 7X14 that I have cut from a 14X14 box that I can buy at walmart for less than $1. |
I started out buying the large rectangle Wilton cake boards. The flat white ones not the scalloped edge ones. I got three boards out of one large one. They don't bend and are pretty sturdy. The fabric had to be pinned or held by a clip when folded on the board. I switched over to the plastic boards made for fabric that had the tabs built in to hold the fabric. They suit me much better but only because I'm lazy.

I have a wonderful resource from a friend here on the board!!
Her id is MILate, and she has a WONDERFUL deal and can even cut them to your specifications!!! I have not finished organizing, but I ordered them from her at about HALF the original price that I found, and I am ecstatic about the way they make my humble stash look and it feels so wonderful!! |
