Aaaargh!

I was really on a roll FMQ'ing this fleece-backed car seat blanket and patting myself on the back for my skills. Then I turned it over. At least I know I'm not alone - someone posted a photo almost exactly like this last week :)

Most frustrating! Been there, done that.

Just tell everyone it is a design option
Looks like a design decision to me.
looks easy enough to clip out.
What a shame, but we all do this kind of stuff, darn.
Opps, well at least you know how to get it out without removing the stitching.:D
I've done that same thing several times. Luckily I have been able to just cut around the threads and pull the piece out very carefully.
surprise! we run into many situations where we have to hone our skills, right?
I think you should write your name and the date on it and call it the label. :)

OCquilter, LOVE your idea! Could turn it into a happy mistake. :-)
Funny, and sad! I'd just cut it out...carefully.

Very small, very sharp scissors. I've done things like that when piecing.
That is exactly what I was going to say. Maybe even tac a little border of some sort to the scrap label to make it look as though you meant it to be that way.

exactly ;-)

I have sewn the corner of the backing as I quilt. I just take small scissors and cut around the stitches, take a needle and scrape at the backing corner to ravel it and take all the extra fabric out from under the quilting stitches. I use to do it alot, now I try to pay more attention.
I actually did this once (with a lot more quilting stitches on it) and I decided to leave it. Mine was a wall hanging I decided that would be a 'design' element. HaHa!
