I had no idea that if you show your AARP card at Michaels arts and crafts on Tuesdays, you get a discount!

I just looked online and found that it's 10% off purchase. Not all stores are doing it so you may want to call your local store and ask. I know I will. Thanks for the heads up.

It should be at all stores, it's an AARP deal with the corporate offices of Michael's. If your local Michael's doesn't honor it, notify AARP and I bet they'll throw their weight around for you.

The discount is 10% off the total purchase and is taken on both regular and sale items. It is not, however, taken on items that you use a coupon for. And remember, it's only on Tuesdays.

Yep, I knew this as I saw it on my online ad a couple of weeks ago. Of course whenever I go it's on a Friday or a Monday, but never a Tuesday as you'd think..I need to change that though! Costco run on Tuesdays from now on and Michaels right around the corner! Just wish they sold fabric too!

I don't know about that. It's on all the lists of AARP discounts, in print and on their website and it's been in the Michael's Sunday ads off and on for awhile now. It's also mentioned on all the coupon-type websites. It's a relatively new discount so maybe that's why it's not widely known yet. No one is trying to keep it a secret, honest. :D It's even been discussed here on QB a couple times before this.
