I forgot to ask when I introduced myself - what do all the abbreviations everyone uses mean? I think someone tried to give an Excel file but my Excel is too old to download the file. I'm not about to spend money now to get more software. Thanks.

Try this link. Others like DDIL dear Daughter in law DD=dear daughter DS dear son DH- Dear Husband LQS- Local quilt shop DM-Dear Mother DF- Dear Father BFF- Best Female Friend |
At the beginning I also had problems with the abreviations on this board.
One day I came across DOG dear old granny..............? ditch over grain.............häääääää? dear other gender..........? I then figured that the member was simply talking about her dog..........wuff, wuff  |
Donna thank you for posting the link to quiltbus for the terms. I have been wondering what the heck some of the abbreviations really meant - I could come up with some but those didn't make sense for quilting LOL.
When I first joined another message board people were using DH for their husbands I assumed, but I couldn't understand why they all referred to them as DUMB HUSBANDS, and their children, etc - of course it never occurred to me to replace the DUMB with Darling. |

I have figured out most of these but had to read further to see the ones that really puzzled me! It is great reading!!
Thanks from a newbee to this site! But have only one complaint--I spend too much time reading here and not sewing on my UFOs!!! |
