I've started collecting 2" squares for a Postage Stamp Quilt. I've cut out 200 squares; swapped 1/2, so have 100 different squares. At least, this is a start, lol. I'm thinking when I have a few more cut, I want to start my blocks. I can't decide if I want to do just the squares or if I want to pair each square with muslin. What do you advise?

Do a search on the Board and see what you like best. Also you can google and you will find more quilts. I like the look of muslin combined with all the color. Be sure to post your work in progress.:)

I have always wanted to do one of them. I did do A couple that had 2.5 or 3 in squares. Not sure they are called postage stamp at that size. Happy quilting.Waiting to see pictures.

I have another question. I believe someone said that Quitville has a postage stamp pattern. If so, it must have another name. I looked but couldn't figure it out; anybody know?

4-Patch and Furrows uses a lot of little squares, but isn't what I'd call a postage stamp quilt.
Scrappy Bargello may have been what they were referring to: http://www.quiltville.com/scrapbargello.shtml or perhaps Scrappy Trip Around the World: http://www.quiltville.com/scrappytrips.shtml But I'm not sure if either of those patterns uses individually cut blocks. I think they involve some strip piecing/cutting |
they do its where I got my paterns. yes they are srtips
