about the q-snap quilting frame
I have a Q-snap quilting frame and I have used it a couple of times lately. I have found that the covers for the arms are so tight that I can usually only get a couple of them on so my quilt is not tight in the frame and when I go to loosen the arms that are holding the quilt in place, it is nearly impossible. I wondered if anyone else has this problem or am I the only one. Perhaps I am not doing something right but it seems pretty simple as to how you would use it.

I roll the snap covers and push to put them on or pull to take them off as I roll. I haven't had any problem but mine is years old.

I have one and yes they are tight. Just take it back if it is too tight, you have to be able to use it. I would contact the company. Using it wouldn't make it that way. It was made that way. If you can take it back.

A thicker batt can make the covers harder to snap on. I put my quilt across the top of the frame and press the covers on more to the sides of the tube and it works well. If I need it tighter, I turn the covers outward. If I want my sandwich looser, I gently press in the center of the quilt for a little ease when quilting.

Mine is so tight that you can't really turn it when it is not in use. Mine must have just been a malfunction. There is very little cut out of the covers on mine but i have had mine a while now and didn't keep the box at the time as i put mine in a round tall tin. I would really like to do some quilting so wondered if anyone has the information for the campany and maybe i could get replacement covers. Does anyone have the address and telephone number for them. Thanks.

I had one and when I was trying to snap the quilt in it broke in two different spots.

boy, mine is years and years old. it's very dry here and I surely hope it doesn't "snap" in two. could though. things happen. I use cotton batting and don't have trouble getting the side pieces to snap on. long ago when using poly I had to use large safety pins and fold the quilt over the frame and pin. worked well enough at that time.
