I need to make some arm covers for my leather furniture that one of our cats manages to mangle. I have to have them done by next Friday, the day of my dad's wedding, which will be here. I have fabric that will work, but need to know the absolute easiest, quickest pattern. I'm going to sandwich it envelope style, so I won't have to deal with binding and quilting it in the ditch or just straight lines. The fabric I have is flannel.

Ok, give me your best suggestions!

ETA: the finished measurements should be 25" square or 25x26. The square will work just fine, so maybe one block?

Those are imho the easiest patterns.

A nine patch or four patch is the easiest and fastest. Now depending on the patterns and colors of the fabrics. why not just make a rectangle to attach or lay there? This would afford you more time to really think and plan it out for a later time. you also would not have to sandwich these just turn the edges under.

Easiest would be to use a printed fabric that coordinates with your couch and room ..... and just quilt it together.

Though ... the simplest would be to just get a new couch! :)1

This is what I did for my mom and sister. Takes like 10 minutes per arm piece.

I'd just use a coordinating piece of fabric and back it with some rubberized shelf liner. The shelf liner will help to keep it from sliding off the slippery leather. Just cut the shelf liner slightly smaller so that when you turn the edges of the fabric under the stitch line will also enclose the edges of the self liner. Works for me!

I think Rose L's idea would be the easiest and the fastest. If the wedding is to be at your house, you don't have much time to devote to the arm covers, if you are at all like me, you probably have a million things to do.
