If it could go wrong it did today, my hightlights - I took a moccasin course through work and completed my first pair! Low light - my son gave his (my DH and mine) gas card to a friend and he bought gas for himself and a few of his friends....but I got home to find that Maggie has been delivered from a dear dear...oh did I say Dear, friend...bless her heart! I thrive in the quilting world, it is just me the fabric and the machine all beating as one....Here is Maggie...

ain't she sweeet!

Isn't that the sweetest picture. Is this your first Featherweight and a 222. Wow. One thing about living in Canada, we do see a few more 222 than those in the USA. Bummer about the gas card.

Thank goodness for Maggie so don't want to be in your sons shoes right now! Glad your day ended so good!

Maia B 04-15-2011 12:24 AM

Congrats! The mocassIns are excellent! 222s are $$$ here. Enjoy Maggie.

zipit 04-15-2011 02:10 AM

She's beautiful!

Your 222 looks wonderful and it is the machine that I am hunting for. I've found several 221's lately at reasonable prices but no 222 as yet. Your mocassins look great and I bet you end up making more. They look like an addictive hobbie. As for your son, I hope he is involved in "teenage slave labour" until his debt is paid off. We've just managed to get our darlings to young adulthood and I must say that I am not missing having a teenage son. They can be such a challenge but it does get better. My now 23 year old just put new headlights in my car as my gift and cooked me a wonderful birthday supper. I was amazed!

And one good thing about Maggie...she doesn't run on gas! She is a beauty!

TonnieLoree 04-15-2011 09:09 AM

Hoping that DS realized that Maggies arrival probably saved his hide.

quilter711 04-15-2011 09:42 AM

Well now that you are in a good mood because of Maggie, give your son a hug and tell him "you are something"! He will really wonder what is going on and probably will never do something like this again. I think you have to keep kids thinking of what is going on in our minds. Good luck with Maggie!!

Thanks everyone! The son is skiddish to say the least around the house...I can't wait until he has his own! Maggie purrs so nicely. I would like to oil her before I really get using her, is there a certain type of oil I should be using? or does any sewing machine oil work.

amma 04-15-2011 03:45 PM

She's a beauty :D:D:D

cowgirlquilter 04-15-2011 03:50 PM
