Hi - My first time here. I'm thinking about getting a die cutting machine to cut my quilt pieces. The only one I have seen for fabric is the Accucut at Accucutquilt.com

Has anyone used this? Are there other brands out there? I'd love some opinions. Thanks.

Welcome to the board! You might trying calling your LQS (local quilt shop), mine will offer diecutting any shape and size you need, if your local quilt shop does offer that service, ask what machine they use, and that will give you potientally another brand to look into. :D Because anything used regularly at a quilt shop would have to be good, or it would be gone.

And calling them on the phone means no running around. :D Hopefully someone else around here can tell you more.

Good suggestion. I'll give that a try.

I looked into an Accucut, but ended up going with a QuiltCut2. I plan on doing mostly strips, squares, and triangles so the QuiltCut2 was more suited to what I plan to do (as well as a whole lot less expensive!) One of the shops I frequent has an Accucut, so If I even need shapes I can use theirs for a very minimal fee.

I've had the QuiltCut2 for a couple of months now, and I just love it - I've found it well worth the price I paid for it.

Where can I find the QuiltCut2, when I tried to do a search on it, I just came up with the QuiltCut. It also said to check out Joann.com, but it didn't show anything.

Thanks,
Barb
