Accuquilt dies discounted
 

. I was wondering if anyone knew of any online sites that may offer Accuquilt dies at discount? I know that Accuquilt has specials all the time but it never seems to be that great of a discount or what I am interested in. I'm looking at purchasing a couple of dies with matts and want to get the best deal possible. Thank you!

No. Accuquilt sets the price of their dies, so it's unlikely you will find "deals" on them, unless you buy from a private party (such as a guild sale, garage sale, friend who is cleaning house, etc).

I think the best prices are found online at Quilt In A Day, I’ve found a few at good prices there. But yes, Accuquilt sets the prices for their products.

The best deals I find are the ones I create myself.....I wait until Accuquilt offers a sale...then I make sure I order enough to get the free shipping...helps my budget some. If I really don't see enough dies to reach that balance needed, I get some replacement matts for the future....which I have found come in useful. I like to use my mats as long as I can. They may look like a mess....but as long as they are giving me clean cuts, I keep using them. A few times a mat that has been giving me clean cuts...just poops out and splits....so I was glad I had the replacement right at hand.

If a shop decided to not sell Accuquilt products anymore then the shop can clearance them out at any price they want to. That's when I bought most of my dies. When Accuquilt set the price many shops opted out of selling so it became a clearance sale. Did you know back when, Joann could discount Go dies and even coupons could be used on them but if the item was listed as Accuquilt Go then it couldn't be discounted or have coupons. One side or the other figured it out and that stopped. The best deal I found then was the big alphabet die set I got to use a 60% off coupon, the log cabin, and other BOB dies I got using the 40% coupons. The other dies were clearance sales. I think I have bought maybe five dies after the price set.

Thanks for the feedback. I just bought a Go Big, 6 and 9" cube and additions along with a 2.5 strip cutter from a dealership that was closing one of their locations. The cutter I got them to match the Accuquilt sale price and the dies for 30% off. I guess I didn't realize how good of a deal that was. I put them on account and am leary on making another large purchase until it is paid off totally which it will be by Christmas. On one of the facebook groups someone had mentioned that they buy all their dies at a store that offers everything 20% off. Can't find the thread and though someone here might know where. I know some stores offer accuquilt clubs with discounts........my local dealership does not offer anything like this so I thought I'd ask.

Accuquilt has been having live events with quilt shops all over the US. You can find them on the Accuquilt website or Facebook. You have to register for them. One event was hosted by a quilt shop in PA that I was very interested in watching, As a perk, the shop offered a 25% discount and free shipping over a certain amount (I think it was $100.00) but it was all their dies they had in the shop and so I ordered several. And it was announced this was for that shop only and not part of the Accuquilt. So if they didn't have the die then to bad. But I was able to get 4 that I had been wanting for a while. I should have gotten the Arkansas Traveler too but decided to show a bit of restraint.
Each event I have watched the shop offers some form of discount. But you need the codes and order from the shop's website. They also do their new releases on these live events. The next one is Sept. 22.

FYI....Accuquilt does have a 1-year free financing option. Far cheaper than using a credit card, Had it not been for that option I probably would have continued to tell myself I didn't need a cutting system, but boy am I glad I got it :)

Craftiladi....totally agree.I have totes full of fabric from my business. Hubby told me I could not take them with us when we move next year so I have been cutting the scraps down into usable precuts. It is so liberating to be able to do something with the fabric. I could not bring myself to throw it out because all I see is money. Some of the fabric was $50 wholesale and he wants me me to toss it......NO WAY!!!!! I love the machine and best of all it is fast.....time is money to me......and it saves my hands which are starting to get arthritis. If my life depended upon it I can't seam to make a good cut with a totary cutter so it was so worth the money to me!
Heading out to the dealership this morning to pick up the 4 circle die. I have a $20 coupon they sent me for my birthday. While there I'll see if they plan any Accuquilt events in the future. If so I'll make a list. I did see about the financing that Accuquilt offers. If the dealership doesn't have anything planned I'll keep my eyes open and jump on the promotion. Thanks again everyone!

The best prices I find for new dies Is QIAD. Only because shipping is free. I can buy one die at a time no matter the cost and still save money. The other option is buying dies used and there are a number of sites on FB that have those types of groups. The only thing to beware of is buying outside of Accuquilt there is no warranty. new or otherwise. It is also good to take advantage of the tree shipping that Accuquilt has from time to time. They also offer up to 30% off. with free shipping. That can be a deal buster.
