I may need your condolences for when I do start cutting and "complicated" quilting. I had to laugh when I realised what I had put in the title. I do have a tendency for foot in mouth disease. LOL
So once again the board has done a great job with advice, thank you everyone.

I agree..I use the 5 inch, 6 1/2 inch, tumbler (large and small), circles and strip dies all of the time.

I use the value die more than anything(came when I bought the baby go) It has 3 different shapes that can be combined together

Someone else been to Amazon?

I got all three pieces for less than the suggested retail of the machine itself...

I just couldn't help myself - I've been lusting for one for ages and finally broke down after an evening guild meeting the other night. The presenter (who I've chatted with in the past) told me how much she loved her Accuquilt and her Millenium APQS longarm.

Since I don't have the cash OR the space for the Millenium (Yet!) I'll settle for the Accuquilt.

The Accuquilt site has patterns and books using their dies. Most patterns will only use one maybe two dies unless you use their patterns which can use four or five dies. Someone gave me a new die for Christmas, it is a finished 3" triangle. I don't have a cutter and tried selling it on EBay but no takers. I wonder if I could take it back somewhere that sells them like Joann's.

The first one that I bought besides the variety that came with my cutter is the raq die and I love it and it gets lots of uses. I recently bought the tumbler and I also have the strips that you can cut into squares as well. I like to do applique so I also have a few of them as well.

I bought my Go cutter last year and have been adding dies to my collection. The tumbler die is a good one. I had to buy Sarah Vedler dies to do the BOM on the Quilt Show. I bought stars, circles, and square dies first, then added ones that came on sale as they are quite expensive.

I am partial to the 5 inch square and the strip dies. I am a beginner in quilting but realized right away that my cutting skills are poor even with the rotary cutter. I found the Go on sale and took the plunge.

I also have the rag square cutter but have not used it yet. I just go for the dies that will help me make the quilts I am interested in making.

I bought the Take Five for my Accuquilt Studio and I really like that pattern. It has a large square, a rectangle and 3 smaller squares. You can use it as is to make a Take Five quilt or you can just cut individual pieces from it. My next purchase will be the tumbler blocks.

I like the 2 1/2 strip die. It's wonderful for cutting the binding.
