Accuquilt dies
 

What dies do you use most often. I am going to buy more dies I know bonnie hunter uses a lot half square triangles. I have weak arthritis wrist and hurt so bad when I use the rotary cutter. I have ordered my fabric for the grassy creek.

I love my Accuquilt go! I also have the go me! the 2 1/2" die is one of the most used IMHO. Many rely on the cubes but I do not have any cubes. I just counted today I have 42 dies and one more on the way. Many of the BOB (block on board) dies can be used to make other designs. The 5" square is a good one to have around and the 4" (finished) HST are both very usable for a lot of quilting projects. I have a couple of triangles and 2 different size quarter square triangles. Always check that the finished size is what you are looking for. I hope this helps you a little.

I love my GO and I really love the strip cutters. I have 1 1/2”, 2”, 2 1/2” and 3”. I think those are a time saver and I love the even strips.

In addition to above, I have used the 2, 2.5, and 3.5 inch squares in Bonnie's mysteryies.....and the also the triangles of those sizes although I think, I may have better luck when cutting those sizes from the fabric strips of the same sizes with the easy angle or one of her other suggested rulers in this mystery intro duction.

I will buy whatever die is available for the pattern I want to make. I love them all.

Buy at least one strip die for the size you generally cut, maybe 2 1/2” or 3 1/2”. Then buy the HST and QST sets that go with the block size you like to work with. A Qubes is a selection of common does that make 1/2 and 1/4 size blocks of the Qube type. For example, an 8” Qube makes 2” and 4” finished blocks with squares, rectangles, flying geese, HST, and QST for that size. Handy if you do lots of basic geometric shapes. I have a number of strip sets in various sizes, a 8” Qube, and a 12” Qube. It gives me pretty much everything I need for blocks based on 2,3,4, and 6” finished pieces.
