I love my GO! I can't say enough good things about it. Here is a link from a post I did of how little waste there is using my strip die. You can't go wrong with a GO, as far as I am concerned.

Maybe! but I have about every die and haven't spent 1/4 of what DH's four wheel ATV cost or his new rifle or his new woodworking table with laser light or his..............I like catching up

I have gotten most of my die's at 20 to 30% off, either from a quilt shop or at local shows in Phoenix and Tucson. Mulqueen's is always at those show's and they usually have the die's at 30 or 35% off and a flyer that is good for about 30 days after the shows. You just have to bring it in to the store when you are purchasing the dies.

I love it. I,m not the best at all cutting and the Accuquilt is
so precise.
If you are going to use it all the time it is a great time saver.

I just used mine and was not happy about the strips. It pushed the fabric, made a pleat and a wave in the strips. I will admit it could user error, I may have put in to much fabric. I love the studio version I use at work.

I was thinking of buying one also and i was wondering, does this work right out of the box or will i need to buy dies?

I would be cutting 2 1/2 inch strips.

It depends if yours comes with dies or not. I think the best deal going right now is at Nancysnotions.com where you can buy the cutter and it comes with at least three dies, two mats and a project book for $299. Sometimes they have free shipping. Worth checking out.

I seldom cut more the 4 layers at a time, I get perfect results with four layers. If I am cutting one layer I place a piece of thin paper on top of the fabric.
