I got one yesterday and I am disapointed with it. There seems to be alot of leftover useless fabric. I wanted to love it. But I think I will take it back. I mainly wanted to make 2 1/2 inch strips and I find that I need to spend another $ 100 to get the mat and die  I just saw the video on the June Tailor ruler and I have that...it's just as easy....'sigh'

You have to be very creative on how you put the fabric on, so that you don't waste so much.

Take a look at the Altos quiltcut 2 at quiltcut.com. you can watch a video and its fabulous. No fabric waste either. I decided against the Accuquilt because the dies are so expensive

If you only tried it out with the die that comes with it, maybe that's the problem. It's not really intended for efficient cutting because there are several different shapes on the die and they are all separate. Typically you would layer fabrics on top of just the one shape that you want to cut. The other geometric dies all cut multiples of the same shape -- not several different shapes on one die.

For the strip cutter, half-square triangles, etc. there is *very* little fabric waste as long as you position your fabrics carefully. For the 2.5" strip cutter, for example, I marked all the blade lines with a ruler and Sharpie permanent marker. I rough-cut my fabrics 8" wide and place 4 layers of fabric on top of the die (which cuts three 2.5"-wide strips = 7.5" of fabric). My waste is just the 1/4" strips from each side. From that single roll through the Go!, I get 12 perfectly cut 2.5" strips.

I do agree that, if you are mainly going to cut 2.5" strips, the Go! is overkill. The June Tailor mat works very well for that job.
