I am thinking of getting the Go, do you need different size mats to cut using different dies? For example, can you use the 10x10" die to cut the 5" square and the 2-1/2' strip? Or do you need the 6x12" mat? I think these 2 dies will be what I order first.

Your mats should be the ones recommended for the particular die you are using; so yes, you'll have to use the proper ones...sorry.

The mats are not expensive and last for a long time. I have the large drunkards path and you need to use the correct size mat.
