I've been wanting an Accuquilt Go for a long time but I didn't want to pay a lot of money for it.

Today Joann had them on sale and I got one for $199!!! I am so excited!!!

I had a Joann gift card for $150 from my DH for my birthday last year and I had $50 left on an Amex gift card that my boss had given me for Christmas of 2009.

I paid $10 for my Accuquilt Go today!!!

luvTooQuilt 02-13-2011 12:08 PM

Yay!! Make sure you keep extra mats on hand as they wear out !! I love my GO!! Have fun!!

Awesome i have been wanting one of those to. But they are so pricy. I make rag quilts and they have the die that cuts them for you..Have fun

I saw a Baby Go for $139.00 the other day..it was cute....is that a good price? is the "baby" one ok to get?

carolaug 02-13-2011 12:17 PM

You will love it!!! my two favorites are the 6 1/2 in and the tumbler...I have the 5 inch but haven't used it yet.

carolaug 02-13-2011 12:19 PM

No...and if you can afford it the Go is better. the baby is 90.00 at Sears free shipping to the store. and 199.00 for regular one at Joannes.

I love my Go! I think you'll really enjoy it. I've found you can get the dies much cheaper from sellers on Amazon. I'm getting ready to order some more dies now!

LOVE my GO! If you are interested in purchasing extra dies at a great price I can give you the name of an independent dealer.

I bought one at Joann's today too! I rarely see them for $199. Usually they are on sale for either $249 or $299. So, when the ad came in the mail I was so excited. I cut a couple pieces of fabric just to see what it would do. Cut like a knife through butter! Now I have to start saving money for the dies that I want. I think the first one that I will buy will be the 2 1/2" strip die. Do you have certain dies in mind to buy next?

That's one of the ones that I was thinking about getting. I would also like the circle die and also the dresden die.

quiltingnonie 02-13-2011 05:41 PM

I purchased the 1 1/2", 2", and 2 1/2" strip dies. That will be good for me for awhile, altho there are others I plan to buy in the future.

I'm interested in the 2 1/2". What do you use the 1 1/2" and 2" for? Bindings?

I have most dies minus some of the specialty dies. My favorite so far is the 2x2 die. Great for scraps. Big tumbler is my second favorite.

Actually, I cut my binding strips 2 1/2". I have always wanted to make a scrappy log cabin with 1 1/2" or 2" strips. Dunster, on this board made an awesome one. Seems a lot of patterns call for 2" strips.

I'm really jealous! I'd love to get one, but it's just not in the cards (i.e. budget) right now.

sassyg 02-14-2011 07:12 AM

If you search the web for accuquilt go there are several sites that have the dies and mats cheaper. Print the price listed at that particular site and take it to Joann's and they will match the price

plainpat 02-14-2011 07:27 AM

I'd like the dealer name

carolaug 04-02-2011 01:11 AM

I use the 2 1/2 for my binding.

I buy my mats and dies through a Yahoo group, pinsandneedles. If you go to yahoo groups and do a search for pinsandneedles, you will find it. There are two, obviously you'll want the sewing-related one, lol! You do have to send an e-mail request to join.

She sells mats and dies for 30% off if you are paying w/ credit card or debit, 35% if you pay by check. Can't beat it, and her service is great.

I just finished a top with the 3 1/2" tumbler in springy colors (started 2/ Oasis from 3 Sisters and added to it). Love it. Fun and cheerful! It is a lap/throw size, so I am planning to try to quilt it myself to save money. Which basically means it will be sitting for a while as I am scared to do it!

I have been FMG'ing on my machine for a few months now...anyways I just bought gloves...100 percent easier...its also very esay to pull out the stiches if you need to. Ask me how I know...LOL...I spent more time with my seam ripper...once you get the hand of it you will love it!!!
