I saw this cutting system at the recent Quilt Market and Festival. I was impressed with all three of the machines.
The Studio is the heavier industrial machine. Has an extensive number of dies and is able to have custom shapes made for it.
The Go model is more for home use. The size is more limiting and has standard dies avaiable. Not possible to have custom dies made for this one. The Go Baby is the new smaller size and is useful for very limited cutting because of the overall size of the cutting bed.
The Studio retails for $595 and they were giving a $100 discount at the show. The Go is about $316. Dies cost in the range of $30-$80 and up for the larger dies.
The recommendation is that if you are doing lots of cutting then the Studio is best. For individual use the Go and Go Baby is very suitable. I don't know if they are available at any discounts such as JoAnns etc.
Interest was brisk around their booth and they sold almost all they had in the booth

I read on one of the yahoo groups that you can get custom dies for the GO. I haven't tried to get one but it might be worth calling Accuquilt and ask. This one lady had a pretty lengthy post on how she called them, gave dimensions, etc and how long it took them to make it for her. I think they charged extra for the custom dies though.

Joann's almost never has sales on the GO (I think I remember one time and even then they had limited quantities in the store). When the shops were given permission for the GO to be sold on sale, Joann's never did put their's on sale. They even exclude coupon use...

At this time, custom dies are ONLY available for the Studio. Not the Go.

I rec'd my JoAnns flyer today and they have the GO! on sale for $249 right now.

I bought the Go...totally worth it....I can't state it enough....In a hour you can have enough squares for a quilt or two...its amazing...Really!!! Many stores will honor Joanne's flyer sale at their stores...I found mine at a local sewing machine shop and they also gave me an additional 10 percent off...Trust me...I am very thrifty and hate spending money on stuff but the GO is worth it!

Does GO make 3inch strips? I use 3 inch for my lonestars and my binding AND quite often, my final border. If so I would get one for myself.
