Acid Free Paper
 

I need to store some of my quilts and I know I should use acid free paper in the folds. When using this paper should I crumble it up and stick in the creases of lay flat pieces everywhere on the quilt? Also, where is the best place to purchase these. Thank you

Fold your quilt on the bias instead of in squares or rectangles. This will help prevent permanent crease marks in your quilt. Alternatively, you could roll the quilt around a pool noodle for storage.

I takes up more room but a friend of mine sort of just jumbles her quilts in a ball to avoid any creases whatsoever.

you can usually find acid free paper any place that sells scrape booking supplies. If you aren't going to be refolding every 3-4 months in different ways, then I would crumple some to put inside the folds (and folding on the bias sure does help). And then put the acid free paper around the quilt. you can also find acid free boxes (archive boxes) and then could just refold to avoid creases every 3-4 months and not mess with paper.
