Several members of our Quilt Guild have acrylic tables for their machines. Most of these tables come from DreamWorld (Fons and Porter)and are about $100. I have a Viking D 1. My LQS wants $113 and has to order it. On the internet I searched for these tables and came up with a place called AllBrands that sells this table for my machine for $69, free shipping.
My question: 1) Has anyone purchased one of these tables recently, where and how much, and 2) has anyone dealt with AllBrands and can give me some information about them. Are they reliable? $100+ awfully steep for this item.

I wanted one for my saphire and I just couldn't get past the price.. so I asked my darling husband and he built me a wood table that fits around my machine just like the acrylic.

I bought one for my Brother for around $70.00. It's supposed to be designed to work with my brand of sewing machine. Conceptually, it's a great idea! But I have found that when I'm working with a larger size quilt, the fabric tends to move the table around and gives me just one more thing to worry about. I know that many people have really liked theirs. It just wasn't a good idea for me.

I made mine for about $25 so it could be the size I wanted. It completely covers a card table, which is much larger than any table I could have ordered. I used plexiglass for the top and wooden dowels for the legs. They screwed into the top and the screws were countersunk so fabric wouldn't snag. The hardest part was smoothing the edges. I made a large bag out of double-sided quilted fabric so I could take it to classes. It has been great.

renee765 -if I am doing machine work on a large piece I often lower my ironing board and put it in fron of my sewing table. Helps keep piece from getting crocked.

I bought mine 3 years ago and love it. The price sounds about right considering inflation in the last few years, as I paid around $80 for my Janome extension table. You won't be disappointed with the purchase for sure.
Google AllBrands to see if you can find any unhappy reports with that company. I have never had bad luck with any online purchases I have made, and usually go with the better price. Good luck.

I purchased a table from Joann.com that has a drop down for my machine, other than the table being a little low for me I love have the machine and table even. The whole table was only $129.

I am still trying to figure out if anyone has bought from AllBrand and experience with that company. I had never heard of them.
